Tropes and What to Expect from Sarina Bowen's Thrown for a Loop

Thank you to Forever and Hatchette Book Group for the ARC of Thrown for a Loop by Sarina Bowen.

I adored this one. I went into it blind because Sarina Bowen is one of the authors of my absolute favorite hockey romance of all time (Stay by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy).

I did not need to know what this book was supposed to be about to know that I wanted to read it!

And boy, am I glad I went in blind. Second Chance is one of my least favorite tropes. It's up there with Surprise Pregnancy and Miscommunication.

I won't say I hate it, but I will say that I tend to avoid Second Chance books.

Thrown for a Loop breaks that aversion with a resounding crash.

It's a Second Chance hockey romance featuring the new skating coach (former Olympic silver medalist in figure skating) and one of the hockey players.

Thrown for a Loop is so good, told between flashbacks of how they met and the summer they fell in love before they parted ways...only to meet again in a new dynamic.

I don't want to give too much away because, as always, Romance is about the journey (we all know the destination!).

But if you like hockey romances, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a go!
